Singer IU confessed that she had accidentally given T-ARA member Jiyeon a fake luxury purse as a present.

Appearing on the May 29th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart,’ IU opened up and said, “A while ago, there was an article saying that my bag was a fake, but I even found out from the article.”

She explained the entire situation, “For T-ARA Jiyeon’s birthday, I went shopping in Dongdaemun with my mom and bought her a present. Jiyeon needed a bag, so I thought it’d be nice to get the two of us couple bags, so I bought a green and an orange bag. The two cost 60,000 won.”

IU continued, “It was just such a cheap and pretty buy, but as it turned out, it was a counterfeit gift. I’m sorry to Jiyeon and also to the bag manufacturers and buyers.”

Meanwhile, besides IU, Kim Min, Kang Seong Yeon, Oh Cho Hee, Choi Yoon Young, Lee Jong Seok, Cheon Myeong Hoon, and Kim Young Cheol also sat down for this episode of ‘Strong Heart.’
