Shortly after the end of MBC’s Gayo Daejun, Super Junior’s Sungmin, celebrated his birthday at the event, as the new years day, January 1st 2012, is Sungmin’s 27th Birthday.
Sungmin was given a cake, as fellow member Siwon shared picture of the birthday boy smiling with the cake in his hands on twitter, saying “Happy birthday #sungmin my brotha! pic.twitter.com/L3WpcCbw“.
Moments after the tweet, Siwon tweeted again with a picture of Sungmin with cake smashed in his face, continuing his previous tweet with “also enjoy your birthday and first day of 2012 go #sungmin !!! http://pic.twitter.com/UFuHNc8Q“. Cake being smashed in the face of the celebrant is a common and fun tradition/practice in Korea.
Super Junior was at MBC Gayo Daejun and performed their songs “Bonamana” and “Mr. Simple” and a special stage with 2PM, K.Will, FT. Island and CN Blue.
