Directed by Lee Yong Joo, the movie “An Introduction to Architecture” has finished filming.
On January 8th, the cast of “An Introduction to Architecture” spent the last 48 hours in Seogwipo city in Jeju-do at a red brick one-storied house, wrapping up an 11 week filming schedule.
Shooting took place between Seoul and Jeju. The movie’s protagonist Seoyeon (played by Han Ga In and Suzy as the younger version) lived with her father in an old-fashioned house when she was young. Seungmin (played by Uhm Tae Woong and Lee Jae Joon as the younger version) falls in love with Seoyeon, who asks him to rebuild her house in Jeju on a 130 pyeong size plot.
On the eve of the 7th, the past and present versions of the movie’s main characters gathered together and performed a scene together for the first time in the red brick one-story house in Jeju.
Uhm Tae Woong expressed his anticipation, “It looks like a good movie.” Han Ga In, making her comeback to the big screen after 7 years, commented, “It really has been a long time to return to the screen. Working with an excellent staff made me happy.”
From the sets of “An Introduction to Architecture” and “The Fortune Tellers, Lee Jae Joon demonstrated his fighting spirit and showed his appreciation for the staff, “The fact that filming has ended hasn’t sunk in yet. The director and the whole staff, the actors and actresses all worked hard.” And miss A‘s Suzy added, “Following this movie debut, I was at first very nervous, but now that it’s over, I am sad and I do not want it to end.”
“An Introduction to Architecture” is a romantic drama that explores the topic of a first love through the process of building a house. The film is now in post-production and is slated for release in the first half of 2012.
