After experiencing some controversy over his previous tweets regarding 2PM Junsu‘s father’s death, 2AM‘s Jo Kwon has made a response to the comments left by fans.
On the 22nd, Jo Kwon posted on his Twitter, “It’s come to my attention that my tweets have caused a controversy among fans.”
Jo Kwon then continued, “I reread the messages to see how they might have been misinterpreted by Hottests. The thankfulness I mentioned in those tweets referred to thankfulness for the precious people who are always there for you when difficult situations arise.”
He added, “When bad things happen, it’s important to express your gratitude to the colleagues and people who keep you company during that time. Why would I have posted such things with malicious intent? 2PM and 2AM have will be by each other’s sides until the end.”
He also said, “I also spent the night staying up in mourning. I meant for the message to encourage people to spend a pleasant New Years with their parents who they value. I was surprised almost to the point of fear due to the response.”
When the news first came out that 2PM Junsu’s father had passed away, Jo Kwon had left messages of support on his Twitter, including, “My heart breaks for Junsu hyung, who I have known for a while. Everyone please pray for him and his father.”
He also said, “Over the course of time, we experience times of hardship. I’ve felt it before, but I’ve once again learned to be thankful. Please enjoy your Lunar New Year with your parents, and be thankful for these moments.”
Fans who read the messages thought that they seemed insensitive to Junsu’s feelings after the death of his father, and criticized Jo Kwon as a result.
Meanwhile, the tweets and responses have since been deleted from Jo Kwon’s Twitter.

Fans misinterpreting again…poor Kwoonie
He is a gentlemen for saying sorry. It’s true what he said, why would he write those tweets with a malicious intent?

I can kind of see where fans are coming from, if they read his tweet saying “enjoy this Lunar New Year with your parents” as reminding Junsu that he’s lost one parent recently. But I think really all he meant was, “Hey, we all recently were reminded how easy it is to lose things you take for granted, so make sure to value these things while you still have them.”
He’s being so gentlemanly for being a person to explain what he meant, and apologized for any misunderstandings~ But alas, I don’t know how to say this, but I apologize if I sound disrespectful or mean, but maybe if he actually worded what he said. Cause’ if he did, this, most probably wouldn’t happen. XD
