On January 26th, BEAST released the digital single “I Knew It” online in preparation for their World Tour Concert. Almost immediately after being released to the public, “I Knew It” rose to #1 on music charts and on various online portal sites. By 10:00am that day, the song was still holding firmly at #1.
BEAST’s fans responded with comments such as “BEAST’s ballads have become much more mature,” “I’m already waiting to see this onstage,” and “I predicted this music chart all-kill, I knew BEAST would get #1!”
“I Knew It” is similar to BEAST’s existing song “On Rainy Days,” and features the unique tone of each member’s voice, adding weight to the song.
The song focuses on ‘a boy who turns bad after meeting a bad girl’, and has a movie-like atmosphere and intense storyline driven by Yong Junhyung‘s compelling rhythm and rapping.
Previously on January 25, BEAST’s agency, Cube Entertainment, released a few teaser images from the music video, featuring member Son Dongwoon, in order to attract attention to the song.
The few photos of Dongwoon showed him to be a good actor who showed an intense aura and even managed to capture a damp-eyed gaze.
Now that Dongwoon’s heartbreaking acting has successfully raised fans’ anticipation, the music video for “I Knew It” was released today at 2:00pm.
Meanwhile, following the release of “I Knew It,” BEAST will continue to release new songs sequentially, and on February 4th and 5th they will be holding their World Tour “Beautiful Show” at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnasium.
