Block B's point choreography, the gorilla dance, gains momentum

Block B has recently been gaining attention for their unique “gorilla dance”.

The strength of their point choreography has been on the rise during promotions for “NalinA,” the title track from Block B’s recently-released mini album.

The dance, which looks like seven gorillas, was the work of famous dance group ID-墓 (pronounced ID-MYO), who worked for months to complete the details of the dance and raise it to the next level.

Additionally, Block B’s free-spirited acting and stage presence is certainly eye-catching, and has become a hot topic recently, overlapping with their existing “yeopsa-dol” image. (“Yeopsa” is short for “yeopgi sajin,” meaning “bizarre photos.”)

A representative from Block B’s agency, Brand New Stardom (“BNS”) stated, “Because of the Hallyu wave, it’s common for dance covers to occur both domestically and overseas. Song and dance covers are becoming a popular thing. To this end, a request we hear often is  from fans who request a dance video. Therefore, we separately recorded a dance practice version and a choreography version so we can meet the needs of fans.”
