SNSD is, arguably, the center of the new generation of hallyu right now, but being in the spotlight has its drawbacks. In regards to SNSD’s nude photoshopped photos that have been circulating the internet, SM Entertainment has called for a police investigation.
Recently, the hanbok-wearing SNSD members had their faces photoshopped onto photos of naked female bodies, and such photos were circulated amongst the online community. Concerning the photos that are spreading amongst the adult community, SM Entertainment firmly stated their intentions, “We have already contacted the police to investigate the composite photos. We will personally hold the maker of the photos as well as the first to post and circulate the photos legally responsible for their unlawful actions.”
Previously, in 2010, SNSD was also embarrassed by the circulation of nude photos. The investigation identified 97 people to be at the center of the distribution of the relevant photos, but since the majority of the offenders were minors, the legal punishments were dropped.
The recent controversies surrounding female stars’ composite photos on internet sites are growing worse. SNSD’s photoshopped nude photos is sending out ripples, like to trot singer Jang Yoon Jung, who also had her face juxtaposed onto another woman’s naked body.
Jang Yoon Jung not only took this incident to the authorities but also posted her unpleasant feelings on her personal SNS, “The face in the photo is 100% my face, but the owner of the body in the photo is 100% a huge voluptuous woman. Although I may be laughing now, I guarantee that the culprit will not be laughing.”
