The popularity of the main casts from these two fusion historical dramas is put to the test as they enter CF contracts. And these CFs are not just biased towards historical dramas. The largest influence in the advertising world right now probably goes to Song Joong Ki of ‘Deep-Rooted Tree.’ Already having received attention for his role in ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal,’ advertisers moved in on the young star at an early stage, whose performances have thus far been the center of attention.
Song Joong Ki was chosen as the model for Coca-Cola‘s number one side brand Sprite and previously wrapped up filming for it in Australia. It was rumored that he performed his own action stunts. Additionally, he was also active as the model for Hyundai Motor Company‘s premium hatchback i30 at the end of last year. He was also selected as the advertisement model for HEAD sports apparel and Seoul Milk.
Shin Se Kyung seems to be monopolizing the role of a beauty star, as she models for cosmetics, soju and coffee ads, one after another. While being chosen as the model for the Japanese cosmetic brand Shiseido, Shin Se Kyung is a rising hot star both in name and in reality. She also active as the model for the soju brand Fun Yeah and the coffee franchise dal.komm Coffee, as well as the face of Korea Yakult R&B.
Jang Hyuk has also had a good start this year, being billed to model for Paul Major men’s wear and communications agency LG U+, one after the other. At the end of last year, Yoon Jae Moon signed an advertising contract with SK Telecom and appeared in an ad for the first time with Won Bin.

Already a top commercial model, Han Ga In‘s appearances in the advertising world also make her a tough contender in this battle. Seeing that she is already a model for Samsung Bubbleshot, LG Household & Health Care and Daesang Chung Jong Won, amongst her current surge of love calls is surely expected to be additional CF contracts. However, it is her agency’s policy that she is not to do so many CFs all at once. Her price per CF is already at the highest level in the industry.
Playing the role of the matured version of Prince Yang Myeong is Jung Il Woo, who was chosen to be the model for cosmetic company Enprani‘s main brand Enprani and sister beauty brand Holika Holika. With these endorsement deals, he is sure to capture the hearts of women with his flawless skin and pretty boy appearance.
Yoon Seung Ah joins the ranks with her stint as a Vegemil CF model, while child actress Kim Yoo Jung became popular after filming a Domino’s Pizza and Bubbleshot CF with co-stars Kim Soohyun and Han Ga In, respectively. In addition, there’s Kim So Hyun, who plays the role of the young version of Bo Kyung in the drama, whereas outside the drama, she is the model for the fabric softener Downy as well as junior clothing brand ApplePink.
