Jung Yonghwa can relax for two months

CNBLUE leader Jung Yonghwa is receiving an official vacation from his agency.

On April 9th, TV Report was informed through the phone by a representative from Jung Yonghwa’s agency, who stated,

“Activities for the new album ‘Ear Fun‘ were scheduled to last for a month. Kang Minhyuk and Lee Jonghyun are acting in dramas, so it naturally occurred to Jung Yonghwa to take time off.”

Having begun local promotions for their title song ‘Hey You‘ off of their latest mini-album ‘Ear Fun’ on March 26th after a year since their last Korean album, CNBLUE made their comeback at that time and had activities scheduled for four weeks. Drummer Kang Minhyuk is currently filming for the KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘My Husband Got a Family,’ while guitarist Lee Jonghyun has been cast in the SBS drama ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity,’ which also marks actor Jang Dong Geun‘s return to dramas, and is currently reading over the script. Lee Jonghyun will begin shooting for the drama soon.

The agency also revealed that bassist Lee Jungshin has his own personal activities, though the details behind those were not discussed.

Jung Yonghwa is making the most out of his fellow members becoming wrapped up in their individual activities and will be receiving a two month vacation. Ever since CNBLUE’s debut, if they weren’t promoting in Korea, they were promoting in Japan, and there has been nearly no time for breaks, especially for Jung Yonghwa, who, on top of it all, had additional schedules with his participation in the programs MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘ and SBS’s ‘Night After Night‘ and his lead role in the MBC drama ‘Heartstrings.’

Jung Yonghwa stated,

“During the two months vacation I am receiving from my company, with no official schedules, I will be able to concentrate on working on songs. From the results of my work for our next album, I want my song to be the album’s title and to have promotional activities.”

His agency added,

“His desire to compose the songs personally is so large that we will actively support this opportunity.”

In the meantime, CNBLUE has sold a whopping 70,000 offline copies of their album ‘Ear Fun’ and is receiving a huge amount of love from their fans.

Although I will greatly miss seeing Yonghwa in these next two months, he definitely deserves a vacation. I hope he gets a lot of good rest, eats a lot of good food and writes a lot of good songs. What’s your take on Yonghwa’s two month leave? Share with us in the comments section below!
