On the 24 of December, 29 years singer and actor Rain received the visit of various acquaintances, including “Lee Mi Kyung, (56) vice chairman of the CJ. Numerous cars were lined up in the front of the two recruitment training centers, Yoencheon-gun, Kynggi-do.

The actors had came all the way from Seoul to see Rain. CJ’ Lee Mi Kyung was accompanied by Kim Dong Won (director of Flight: Close to the Sun) and two co-stars from the same movie Jung Seok Won (26) and Kim Sung Soo (38).

The road conditions were extremely poor due to the snow which had accumulated overnight. Even so, they had battled on to see Rain because it was his first Christmas in the military.

The awkward atmosphere surrounded the entire military unit because of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il’s death.  Due to this event, overnight stays and much other visiting activities were restricted.

The duration of the visit was from 10:00am to 3:00pm approximately. Actors Kim Sung Soo and Jung Seok Won showed their close friendship, as they passed almost half a day of Christmas Eve with Rain.

CJ’s Vice Chairman, Lee Mi Kyung, prepared a car with Bibigo (Korean food brand from her company) for Rain and his fellow soldiers, as they were performing duties in the cold weather. Lee Mi Kyung and Rain are well known to have a close bond, mainly because of her motherly affection and carefulness for him.

In other notes, the movie ‘Flight: Close to the Sun’ debuts in South Korea on the 4th of January next year. The movie, which is said to consist of a budget more than $10,000,000,000 won is an action blockbuster about the activities, love and friendship of fighter pilots.

Rain plays as a flight lieutenant named ‘Jung Tae Hoon’, belonging to the Black Eagles, a special Air Force team with state of the art guns. He will be working with ‘Jung Seok Won’, ‘Kim Sung Soo’ and actress ‘Shin Se Kyung’ in this upcoming movie.
