DSP rookies A-JAX to debut in Korea and Japan

After making ambitious preparations, DSP Media has announced that their newest boy group A-JAX will be debuting simultaneously in Korea and Japan, following in the footsteps of their sunbaes SS501.

A-JAX will be the first of the Korean idol singers to debut in both countries, Korea and Japan, at the same time. After their Korean debut in May, they will join hands with the large Japan record company Universal Music (Sigma) sometime in August and launch a full-scale attack on the Japanese market. Universal Music is the record distribution company in Japan for artists including KARA and Rainbow.

A-JAX’s entry into Japan has been finalized under the same contract terms as existing Korean male idol groups who have already gained popularity, and they are currently receiving much attention from Japanese music enthusiasts as a rookie group for their ‘unprecedented advance.’ The announcement on May 1st of their decision to make advances into Japan carries the intention of ‘becoming a group that receives love simultaneously from Korea and Japan as well as other parts of Asia,’ just like their agency sunbaes SS501.

In the meantime, starting with their first broadcasting activities on April 24th on MBC Music‘s reality program ‘Making the Star – DSP Boys,’ A-JAX is working towards their goal to officially debut in Korea at the end of May.
